09/19/19 – Business Video Strategy, With Colin Hogan

Filed in Upcoming Episodes on August 20, 2019

Video has the power to humanize your brand, educate your customers, promote your products, and so much more. But, it’s not just about having one good animated explainer video on your homepage.

Video, like any marketing effort, is an ongoing strategy. Beautiful visuals, a snappy soundtrack, and a smooth voiceover are all part of a successful video, but they’re not the most important. When it comes to producing a video that effectively tells your story and delivers a compelling message, you need a solid foundation. You need a creative concept that is unique and on brand along with a script that addresses the key benefits of your product or service and drives action.

Video marketing expert, Colin Hogan, joins Adam to share why creating a powerful video is more than just standing in front of a camera.

  • What a company can do in order to create a scalable marketing campaign without blowing the budget;
  • Characteristics of the most effective video marketing campaigns;
  • How companies are not using video where they should be;

About This Guest: ()

After graduating from the University of Maryland in 2008, Colin moved from the east coast to Chicago. He was initially called there by the sirens of opportunity in the business and comedy world. After successfully navigating his way through management roles in the corporate sector (banks, tech startups, etc.) and semi-successfully trudging through the comedy industry, he stumbled upon Demo Duck in 2014. Making the career move to the video production world, his lifelong passion, was exciting and daunting. Finding his footing relatively quickly, he was soon leading projects with international brands located all over the world. In 2017, Colin was handed the reins of the company when he was promoted to Managing Director – talk about imposter syndrome. He is one of those lucky people who absolutely loves what he does and is honored to work with super smart people at Demo Duck.
